Take Home Tooth Whitening

Take home tooth whitening is a 7-14 day treatment plan. The treatment time period is longer than dental whitening. However, the treatment can be conveniently performed in the privacy and comfort of your own home or office. We provide you with individually made soft plastic trays custom fitted to your teeth. These trays only take a week to fabricate.

At your second visit, the Choice Dental team will test fit your trays and provide you with the whitening gel. We will also instruct you on how to use your gel and trays to ensure the best results in the most comfort possible.

Please note that whitening products can only work on natural tooth surfaces, not fillings or crowns. For this reason, it is important to consult with one of our dentists prior to starting any whitening treatment plan.

Teeth Whitening FAQ

Choice Dental offers a variety of tooth whitening options for each patient's needs. We offer a) take-home whitening, b) in-chair whitening, and c) a combination of both options for a bundled price. Contact us to find out what the best tooth whitening option is for you.

Whitening products work by breaking down stains and bleaching the underlying color of the tooth.

Avoid food and drinks that stain teeth easily such as coffee and tea. Using straws while drinking can also help prevent future stains. Occasionally doing a whitening top-up treatment can help keep the teeth nice and white.

The downside of the tooth whitening take-home kit option is that it can sometimes just be a little bit tedious because you have to do an hour of tooth whitening tray wear per day for two to three weeks.

In office tooth whitening takes about 90 minutes.
